Golf

Golf Conditioning

Have you reached a plateau in your game where you just can’t get your handicap down further or perhaps you’re an experienced player but losing yards on your shots?

Whether it’s either of these or something completely different we can help you gain yards on your shots and also prevent injury and improve your overall fitness.

Anyone who says that golf is not a physical game is wrong. Just ask someone who has tried to play with an injury to their ankle, knee, hip, glute, back, arms, neck…the list goes on. The problem is that no-one knows what exercises to do and how to do them to improve ‘their’ game. If they look up information on the Internet they are bombarded by a large amount of poor information and generic exercises programs which are not golf specific.

The aim of a golf swing is to repeat a coordinated sequence of muscle activation to produce a fluid movement. For the majority of people there are 5 interrelated key parameters to achieve this: Posture, Flexibility, mobility, stability and strength.

During sessions we look at and address different key factors to your swing:

    •    Posture
    •    Flexibility
    •    Mobility
    •    Stability
    •    Strength

At Cotswold fitness we use the latest techniques to improve your game and your swing. We do all our training either at your home or at the golf club we usually do block packages in which we address all the 5 key factors to improve your overall game. Sometime all you need is a little help to improve your game vastly.
